1Cup Light Brown SugarPacked
½CupGranulated Sugar
1Egg
½TSPVanilla Extract
1TSPAlmond Extract
2¼CupAll-Purpose Flour
1TSPBaking Soda
½TSPSalt
10OuncesDark Chocolate Chips
6OuncesDried Cherries
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and creamy.
While this mixes, in a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.
Add egg, almond and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
Add the flour mixture in and stir until well incorporated. Do not overmix.
Using a wooden spoon, mix in the chocolate chips and dried cherries until distributed throughout the cookie dough.
Using a medium cookie scoop, drop dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are light brown. Allow to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet prior to transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
