Apple Filling
- 4 Cups Tart Apples Peeled and Sliced
- 3 TBSP Brown Sugar
- 2 TSBP Butter Melted
- 1 TBSP Maple Syrup
- 1 TSP Cinnamon
Maple Cinnamon Crunch Topping
- ⅔ Cups Brown Sugar
- ⅓ Cup Butter Melted
- ½ Cup Flour All-Purpose or Self-Rising
- ½ Cup Oats
- 2 TBSP Maple Syrup
- ½ TSP Nutmeg
- 1 TSP Cinnamon
Apple Filling
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
Peel and slice apples. Put apples into a large ziploc bag and set aside.
In a bowl, combine 2 TBSP melted butter, 3 TBSP brown sugar, 1 TSP cinnamon, and 1 TBSP Maple syrup. Mix until combined.
Pour mixture into the bag with the apples and toss until well coated.
Dump apples and arrange in the prepared baking pan.
Maple Cinnamon Crunch Topping
In a separate bowl, mix together remaining butter, brown sugar, oats, flour, spices and maple syrup. Mix until well combined.
Spread mixture evenly over the top of the apples.
Bake in the over for about 30 minutes until topping is golden and the apples are tender.
Best served warm and topped with vanilla ice cream.
